The Global OD Network is pleased to announce development of the following program:

Master of Arts in Global OD and Leadership

The MAODL program is an engaging and challenging experience in learning organization development and leadership with a focus on global perspectives and transformation. As designed for professional learners, the program combines instruction from accomplished scholar-practitioner instructors and hands-on, experiential learning. Using a cohort model, students will work together on a project-based curriculum with international fieldwork, supported by online modules from global faculty. The coursework is current and relevant to today’s accelerating and disruptive business environment and the critical skills for organization development, leadership and, transformation for the future of work.

The Educational Objectives for the M.A. in Organization Development and Leadership include:

  • To cultivate capacities that provide opportunities for people to function as human beings rather than as resources in the productive process.

  • To cultivate capacities that provide opportunities for each organization member, as well as for the organization itself, to develop their full potential.

  • To acquire competencies that expand the effectiveness of an organization in terms of all its goals.

  • To acquire competencies to create environments in which it is possible to find exciting and challenging work.

  • To develop perspectives that empower people in organizations to influence how they relate to work, the organization and the environment.

  • To develop perspectives to treat each human being as a unique person with a complex set of needs that are equally important to their work and life.

The M.A. in Organization Development and Leadership learning outcomes are:

  • Quality and Empowerment: The leadership to engage and be aware of human potential and grow with excellence addressing the whole life experience.

  • Freedom and Responsibility: The leadership to acknowledge people as being free and responsible for their results in a manner that is fair and right for all.

  • Collaboration and Authenticity: The leadership to interact with others with dignity, integrity, and openness in worthy cooperation for the fundamental rights of individuals, organizations, communities, societies and all other human systems.

  • Culture and Participation: The leadership in promoting participation in system affairs, confronting issues, problem-solving and democratic decision making to model, nurture and embed the vision, mission and values of an organization.

  • Vision and Fortitude: The leadership to encourage others by recognizing and reframing realities and overcome challenges fearlessly and proactively, preparing them for the future of work in the face of volatility, uncertainty, complexity and ambiguity.

  • Scholarship and Practice: The leadership in applying innovative theories, research, best practice and transformative experiences with organizational models as lifelong learners and organization development practitioners.
